At WhisperOne, we believe that your thoughts and your voice belong only to you. Our privacy philosophy is simple: what happens on your device, stays on your device.
1. Local-First AI Processing
All voice-to-text processing is performed locally on your hardware using our Rust-engineered neural engine. We do not use cloud-based APIs for transcription.
Audio and transcripts are not sent to cloud transcription services. Local history or recovery features may store content on your device according to the application's local behavior and settings.
We do not use your voice or text to train our AI models. Our models are pre-trained and fixed; they do not "learn" from your private data.
2. Data Collection and Usage
The public website uses Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to measure page visits and interactions. Custom events cover download clicks, checkout starts, thank-you-page views, and support-email clicks; our custom parameters do not include audio, transcripts, license keys, email addresses, order IDs, or device identifiers. Analytics providers may process standard browser, device, and network data under their own policies.
If you contact support, you choose what technical context to send. Review generated logs before sharing them, and avoid including transcripts, license keys, or personal data unless they are necessary for your request.
Payments are handled securely by Paddle. WhisperOne does not store or have access to your credit card or billing information. Paddle provides us with the necessary transaction details to provide support and manage your license.
3. Licensing and Activation
To activate and validate your WhisperOne license, we process a limited set of technical data necessary for licensing system operation and fraud prevention.
This data includes: your license key, a unique device identifier (hardware hash), platform/OS type, application version, and activation timestamps. Technical network data, such as your IP address, is used temporarily for anti-abuse and rate limiting purposes during the activation request.
We use this data exclusively for license validation, device limit enforcement, and technical support. The licensing system is entirely separate from the transcription engine; we do not store or transmit audio recordings or transcripts to our licensing servers.
4. Data Retention
We retain licensing data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and ensure security:
- →License Records: Retained while your license remains active in our system.
- →Technical Logs: Anti-abuse and server logs are automatically deleted or anonymized within 7 to 30 days.
- →Database Backups: Rotated and purged every 30 to 90 days.
5. Compliance & Contact
WhisperOne is built to be inherently compliant with GDPR (EU) and CCPA (USA) because we do not process personal data on our servers. Your data sovereignty is built into the architecture.
